                                  WEDNESDAY'S CHILI LIKE WENDY'S

                                  In 2 T. oil brown 1-to-2 lbs. ground sirloin til pink color disappears. Crumble fine with a fork in med-saucepan. Put 10-oz. can French Onion Soup through blender til pureed & pour over the beef. Stir constantly to consistency of rice on med heat.. Add 1 T. chili powder, 2 t. ground cumin, dash Tabasco, dash black pepper, 21oz. can red kidney beans undrained, 6-oz. can of tomato paste, 8-oz. can tomato sauce, 5-oz. spicy V-8 juice. Serve piping hot. Freezes well. For 8

                                  CHEESE BISCUITS LIKE RED LOBSTER'S

                                  Beat together with mixer on med-speed til well combined: 1 c. milk, 2 t. sugar (or Equal), 1/3 c. real mayonnaise, 2-1/4 c. self-rising flour. Remove beaters. Work in 4-oz. finely shredded Cheddar cheese. Drop by spoonfuls on Pam-ed baking sheet into 10 bumpy mounds. Spray tops lightly in Pam. Dust lightly in dry parsley flakes (rub to fine dust between fingers) & bake at 350°F 25-30 min. Or till golden. At once out of oven spray again in bit of Pam & dust in garlic salt. Serve warm. Makes 10!

                                  SELF RISING FLOUR BY THE CUPFUL!

                                  Sift together several times 1 c. all-purpose flour, 1/4 t. salt, 3/4 t. baking powder. You can multiply recipe as needed. Makes 1 cupful.

                                  BISCUITS LIKE BOB EVANS

                                  Follow recipe for CHEESE BISCUITS omitting the cheese & parsley & garlic salt. Divide dough in 6 equal portions placing 1 into center of 9" round greased baking pan & other 5 portions around it. Spray tops in Pam & bake at 350°F about 25 mins. Or til golden brown. Makes 6.

                                  OLIVE GARDEN DRESSING IMITATION

                                  Into blender put: 8-oz. bottle Paul Newman's vinegar/oil dressing, 2T. grated Parmesan, 2 T. Wishbone Italian Dressing, 2 t. sugar, (or Equal), 1/8 t. dry mustard. Blend on HI till smooth. Wipe greens in dressing. 1 pint.

                                  CORN MUFFINS LIKE BOSTON MARKET'S

                                  Make up a 9-oz. box yellow cake mix as box directs. Make up a 9-oz. box corn muffin mix as box directs & stir one batter into the other. Use oval foil tiny pans intended for baking potatoes & grease insides well. Place on baking sheet. Using 20 of these divide batter evenly between & bake as for the cupcakes at 350°F-about 20-25 mins. or till tester into centers comes out clean.

                                  SPECIAL SAUCE LIKE MC FABULOUS McDonald's

                                  Combine 1 c. Miracle Whip, 1/3 c. creamy bottled (orange colored) French Dressing, 4 T. sweet pickle relish, 1 T. sugar (or Equal), dash Black pepper, 1 t. dry minced onion. (makes 2 cups)

                                  SANDERS HOT FUDGE IMITATION RECIPE

                                  In top of double boiler over simmering water combine 14-oz. can Eagle Brand Milk, 14 oz. light Karo syrup, 12 oz. NESTLES MILK CHOCOLATE CHIPS (not semi-sweet), 1/4 lb. butter & stir till melted. Cook & stir a few times for 30 mins. Beat with mixer till smooth. Cool & refrigerate tightly capped. Makes 1 quart.

                                  HOT FUDGE SUNDAE SAUCE LIKE FRIENDLY'S

                                  Follow recipe above for imitating Sanders only use instead of the MILK CHOCOLATE, semi-sweet chocolate chips. Continue as that recipe otherwise directs above.

                                  BBQ CHICKEN THAT TASTES JUST LIKE KENNY ROGERS'

                                  In 14 cup capacity Crockpot put 3 lbs. still frozen chicken pieces & 1 lb. can cranberry sauce, (jellied or whole berry) & 1 envelope dry onion soup mix. With lid on it cook on HI 3 hrs & on LOW 3 hrs or 7 to 8 hr. on low only.

                                  KENTUCKY COLESLAW

                                  Empty a 1 lb. bag supermarket coleslaw mixture into bowl & moisten with 1/2 c. milk & 1 T. sugar (or Equal). Cover & refrigerate 1 hour. Then without draining add a dressing made by combining 1/3 c. each: mayo, sour cream, Miracle Whip plus a dash of Tabasco & pinch celery seed. Cover & refrigerate 1 hour or more before serving. Serves 4 to 5 favorably or 2 foolishly.

                                  PERFECT PIE CRUST LIKE BAKER'S SQUARE

                                  No rolling pin required. In deep narrow microwave mixing bowl melt 1/4 lb. butter without letting it change color. Soon as it bubbles have electric mixer ready to work quickly. Dump into hot butter all at once: 1 c. all-purpose flour, 1/2 t. salt, dash cinnamon. Beat half a minute just to combine & while it's still warm gather up into your hands & pat out evenly over bottom & up sides of a PAM-ed 9" pie pan. Bake partially 6 min. at 375°F before adding a filling to be baked like pumpkin or custard. Bake completely 375°F for 18 to 20 min. OR till golden when using a no-bake filling. Makes 1 single crust. FOR TOP CRUST: pat out over PAM-ed wax paper to 9" circle Invert over filling & bake per recipe for the filling. OR make streusel top crust crumbling a baked 9" shell & sprinkling over no-bake filling.

                                  WHITE TASSEL BURGERS LIKE WHITE CASTLE'S

                                  Soak 4 T. dry minced onion in 1/4 c. hot water till soft. Mix 2 lbs. ground sirloin & 3 oz. jar babyfood strained beef, 2/3 c. clear beef broth or prepared bouillon. Make patties uniform in size, flattening to 1/4 " thick. Fry each one quickly in 1 T. oil on a hot griddle. Make 3 or 4 holes in each pattie, with tip of knife during frying to ensure even doneness. Cut hot dog buns in half & cut away the rounded ends. Fry 1 t. of softened onions under each patty when turning to do other side. Slip into half piece of buns. Serve with pickle chips, mustard & ketchup. Freeze what patties not fried right away.

                                  RECESS PEANUT BUTTER CUPS LIKE REESE'S In top of double boiler over simmering water combine 12-oz. bag Hershet's milk chocolate chips (not semi-sweet) & 1 c. peanut butter. Stir til melted or put in micro proof cup & set in pan hot water til melted or put in micro on lowest power setting til melted & then beat into warm peanut butter and 1 c. powdered sugar til smooth. Cut cupcake paper liners down to 1" high & set each in cupcake tin well. First put 1 T. chocolate mixture into bottom of the liners & then 1 T. peanut butter/sugar mixture oveer each. Chill til firm.
